Clinton Wolf

Chairperson

Clinton Wolf is an Australian Aboriginal leader and former Australian Rules footballer.

Clinton was recruited from the Claremont Football Club in the West Australian Football League to the inaugural squad of the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League.

As a lawyer, Clinton was the Executive Director of the Yamatji Land and Sea Council native title representative body from 1998 to 2001.  He was Chief Executive Officer of the Western Desert Land Aboriginal Corporation from 2006 - 2008.

He is currently Chief Executive Officer of the Indigenous Investment Fund.
Irene Stainton

Irene Stainton has 30 years experience as a State Public Servant, where much of that time was spent in Executive and Senior Management positions.  She has an extensive background in housing, welfare and has long been an advocate for Aboriginal cultural heritage, holding a series of advisory positions at state and national levels.

She was the first Director of Yorganop Aboriginal Child Care in Perth, becoming secretary of the Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care, where as an Australian delegate she presented discussions papers to the United Nations and was a Council member of the national inquiry into the removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families.

Since leaving the public service, she was employed as the General Manager of one of the largest; WA based Heritage Consulting Companies and is now employed as the Senior Aboriginal Affairs Advisor at INPEX.  She has extensive knowledge in heritage and culture and was the first Aboriginal person to become Registrar of Aboriginal Sites in Western Australia, prior to being appointed Chairperson of the Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee in the Aboriginal Affairs Department.

Irene serves as the Chairperson of the Western Australian Museum (Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee), is a member of the Commonwealth Government’s Advisory Committee responsible for the repatriation of Indigenous Cultural Material and is a past Finalist in the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Awards.
Gail Beck (Member)

Gail Beck is a Yued woman and currently works for the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council as the Regional Development Unit Team Manager. Gail is an enthusiastic, results driven asset based community development manager, who is multi-skilled and experienced in a diverse range of areas including connecting community, strategic planning, management of new initiatives, facilitation of projects and stakeholder management.

Gail also has an awareness of and a passionate interest in a range of current Aboriginal issues, including women’s business, health, education, housing, economic development and land tenure, which can be reflected by the diverse range of government, non government and community committees that she sits on either as a participant or at an executive level.
Normae Bennett

Normae has many years experience in the public service of Western Australia and Queensland, in the Aboriginal areas of: health, training, education, employment and justice. She  has great concerns about the increase of girls in the justice system, the number of Aboriginal youth in detention and youth recidivism. Normae is currently enrolled in a Doctorate Program at Murdoch University.

Irene Davey is a Bardi woman from One Arm Point.  Her interests are her culture, meeting people and sharing her culture with people giving them a better understanding of Bardi and Jawi way of life, her way of life.  She is a proud mother of six children and has 11 grandchildren.

Irene is a Special Womens Cultural Advisor for the Kimberley Land Council.

Irene has been in tourism just under two decades from working as a tour operator to developing other tourism ventures within her community and surrounding area.  Irene is a member on a few committees and works with youth in her community passing on traditional knowledge and culture.

Preston Thomas (Member)

Preston "Mr T" Thomas
Member

 "Mr T" Thomas is a former Chairperson of the ALT and is the current Chairperson of the Ngaanyatjarra Land Council and the Yanarngu Parna Aboriginal Corporation Prescribed Body Corporate.  He was nominated for membership to the ALT by the Ngaanyatjarra Council (Aboriginal Corporation) where he holds the position of Vice Chairperson. 

Dorothy Tucker (Member)

Dorothy Tucker is a Native Title consultant with extensive experience arranging site surveys and liaising with mining companies, the Goldfields Land and Sea Council, the Department of Mines and Petroleum, the National Native Title Tribunal and native title claimants.  Ms Tucker is a Justice of the Peace and a member of the Children’s Court.

She has a keen interest in the ALT’s land transfer initiatives and facilitating Indigenous Land Use Agreements.
